Baby High Chair Replacement Pad

You probably have thought about a baby high chair replacement pad especially if you have used your high chair for more than one child. But, there also may be other reasons you want to find a replacement pad in place of the one that came with the baby high chair. You could also consider this item as a newborn gift idea for the next shower you attend.

Some of these high chair pads seem to have come out of the lost and found, or seem to have been designed by someone totally unfamiliar with the likes and dislikes of mothers, or to the needs of little baby bums. There is nothing wrong with neither a really comfortable chair pad, nor is there anything wrong with co-ordinated colours matching the kitchen or dining décor. The problem, sometimes, is finding the right replacement baby chair pad, or finding one that gives you both baby comfort and suitable colours.

So, for those parents that have a sewing machine, some left over old clothes from dad or from moms' own old or discarded clothes, or who can find a few minutes to visit the local fabric shop, there is an option.

You can make your own high chair pad to replace the one you don't want, or is worn out, or is just too uncomfortable even for a little bum for a very short period of time.

When mom has a few minutes to spare, and, this can't be very often, you can cut old material into six by six inch squares. Or, better still, if your partner is available, get them to help you out by cutting the squares for you.

There is something special about sharing this little 'to be made by hand' chore, so get him involved. In fact, your partner can even lend this kind of helping hand sitting in front of the TV, or listening to that favourite radio station or music selection.

Once you have the six-inch squares cut (you only need enough for the top), you are ready to simply sew them together. What you design is entirely up to you; you can be as creative as you like. After this step, choose how much and what type of padding to use, the depth, and then stitch another piece of plain material around three sides, stuff the padding into the fourth side, and stitch this side when done.

There you go - your own baby high chair replacement pad.
